Hatfield Futures engages teams of Oregon high school students in generating innovative solutions for our most important societal, environmental, and economic issues.

Special Projects

Oregon’s Kitchen Table is committed to trying new and different approaches to bringing more people into public-decision making. We partner with other Oregon organizations who hold this same commitment on a variety of Special Projects.

Community Exercise: Connect factors that influence student belonging in college and training programs

If you’re a current or recent student, faculty, or staff at a college or training program, join us to take part in a short, fun online exercise at https://tinyurl.com/belong-exercise. Answer as few as 5 matching questions to make connections between the factors or keep going to answer as many as you want! This is the next step in our work with HECC to identify what actions to take to help strengthen student belonging statewide.

A Recap from Hatfield Futures 2026: Imagining Oregon's Future

Last month, we held the fourth annual Hatfield Futures Camp and Showcase, a program that brings together youth from across the state to imagine the future of Oregon and to propose projects that could help their vision become a reality. The week ended in a culmination of all of their work: the Hatfield Futures Showcase. Held on July 11 at Hoffman Hall, all eight teams presented their visions for Oregon’s future in front of elected officials, community leaders, families, and staff.
